How to Make a Ginger Bug

Peel & grate a tablespoon of fresh ginger. Add to jar.

Add a teaspoon of raw sugar to the ginger.

Add 3 tablespoons water to jar & stir.

Cover with a cheesecloth & rubber band.

Let sit on your counter for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

Every day, feed ginger bug 1 tbsp. ginger, 1 tsp. sugar, & some water.

After a few days, you should start to see some bubbles forming.

After 5-7 days, your ginger bug is ready to use in fermented soda recipes.
